Radiofrequency Ablation – Also known as Venefit or VNUS closure, this procedure uses heat to seal veins. Before carrying out the procedure, your doctor may get pre-procedural ultrasound to make sure you are the right fit for the procedure. During the treatment, a catheter is inserted into the affected vein by making a small incision in the groin area and radiofrequency energy is applied via catheter, which heats the veins and seals them.

Sclerotherapy- This treatment is used to treat the veins that are invisible or are difficult to see. In this procedure, irritant solution is injected directly into the vein. The solution causes the vein to swell and the walls sticky. The veins sticks together and closes up. The closed vein is reabsorbed and disappears eventually.
